There is a point where the melancholic sincerity of folk music collides with the anthemic vigor of rock n’ roll. Toronto’s The Hollowbodies are born of this union and add an intensity that mixes a gumbo of honest roots rock. Their songs tell familiar tales of lives lived that cut to the heart of their hard working ethos, and are delivered with unadulterated Canadian soul. Lonesome country ballads are complimented by the sly wink of a pop tune. There are no stetsons at this rodeo.
