Read more…The songs tell the stories of characters in nightclubs and these characters reveal themselves in the venue around you; their tales are told through short scenes that are projected on the stage backdrop. When found on the dance floor (and that is the only place to be) the audience members are bound to be part of the evening’s production. Nadine Tremblay of Iron Mountain Theatre (Ski Bum: The Musical, White Star Lady, Mennonite Mafia and Company Jump) and Rupert Keiller (of award-winning, Australian group Sonicanimation) are the creators and musical performers of Electro Social Club. The music is a variety of electro-dance tracks including breakbeat, dubstep, hip hop, 80’s pop, opera and more, featuring such characters as the Bouncer, the Pick up artist, the Drinker, the Couple and the Exhibitionist dancer. It will be weird, unusual and innovative but above all ESC promises to entertain while pumping bass and getting you moving.
